Late Saturday

OK, I just posted, and then I get to talk to Rebecca, so we get to quick posts.

The good news: Trevor’s condition is stabilizing. His heart rate is closer to normal, his blood pressure is closer to normal, his temperature varies, but spends some time near normal.

The infection is still spreading, but it’s “not out of control,” and that’s good. He’s still fairly heavily sedated. He was apparently pretty dehydrated, so they're re-hydrating him. At one point, he had three IV's in him at one time! That's a thirsty boy!

The wound has developed a staph infection in addition the more dangerous strep infection. That's actually not concerning the medical staff, and it's apparently a pretty non-virulent form.

He did not go into surgery today… I think. It’s a little confusing; it’s been pretty busy. I spent most of the day wandering around the perimeter of Golden Gate Park, trying to find a WIFI hot spot in order to get the post out. I wrote the last message on the top of “Hippie Hill” and this one in a Thai restaurant. The restaurant has WIFI!

Rebecca and Judy have settled into the hotel half a block away. Sounds like a nice spot. I’ll be taking some things to them shortly.

We’ve found the right way for Todd and me (David) to get home, too: Judy & Rebecca will fly Trevor home when that time comes, so they’ve asked us to drive the van to Olympia, and we’ll work out how to get it from there to BC later. Works well for all! So I’ll be writing from the road for the next couple of days.

Some folks asked about sending money via PayPal. You can send it directly to Rebecca at:

Pickly(at)hotmail.com.

Thanks again for your prayers! We're making a difference!
