7:30 Update

What a busy day. Rebecca is now here in San Francisco, and is at the hospital with her father. The hospital is:

We "just happened" to find a parking spot just outside the hospital door, so I went in with her, and when we got to his (empty) room, the #1 Infectious Disease Specialist for the hospital was there, and we had 20 uninterrupted minutes with him. (If that's not an answer to prayer, I don't know what is!!) We answered his questions and he answered ours, but he had not yet seen Trevor, so his answers were limited; I hope to have some of his post-examination answers on here later this evening. While we were talking, they wheeled Trevor in, but he was unconscious. No conversations with him for a while.

The leading "provisional diagnosis" is that Trevor got bit by a tick in Africa. In addition, there's a pretty good chance that the bite got a strep infection, and that infection got into his blood. The doctors are still "professionally confident," but not saying as much as I'd like.

Please pray for more discernment, for medical answers, for healing specifically of his kidneys and the infection (whatever it is, wherever it came from). Pray for rest as well; Trevor hasn't slept even "decently" for several days.
